RESOLUTION 68-135 AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF
<br />PROPERTIES BETWEEN THE CITY AND SOUTHERN PACIFIC
<br />COMPANY
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to that certain agreement dated August 30,
<br />1963,between the City of Santa Ana and the Southern Pacific Company,
<br />the Southern Pacific Company has delivered to the City two deeds
<br />conveying to the City real property on First Street for the First
<br />Street Underpass, in exchange for which the City will execute two
<br />deeds conveying to Southern Pacific Company other real property at
<br />said location;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa
<br />Ana accepts said deeds from SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY conveying to
<br />the city of Santa Ana the following described property:
<br />
<br />Ail that certain real property situated in the City of Santa
<br />Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows:
<br />
<br />That portion of Parcel I lying within Parcel II of the land
<br />allotted to Dominga Vejar in Decree of Partition of the Rancho
<br />Santiago de Santa Ana, recorded in Book "B" of Judgments of the
<br />17th Judicial District Court of California, said Parcel I and
<br />Parcel II being described as follows:

<br />PARCEL I:
<br />
<br />Beginning at a point in the North line of First Street, as the
<br />same was established on November 22, 1889, distant Easterly
<br />thereon 463.04 feet from the Southeast corner of Lot 1 in Block 3
<br />of W. Z. Cook's Addition to the City of Santa Ana, as shown on a
<br />map thereof recorded in Book 1, page 34, Miscellaneous Maps,
<br />records of said Orange County; thence East, along said North line
<br />of First Street, a distance of 40 feet; thence North, a distance
<br />of 243.5 feet, more or less, to the South line of Second Street,
<br />as said street existed on November 22, 1889; thence West, along
<br />said South line of Second Street, a distance of 40 feet; thence
<br />South, a distance Qf'243.5 feet to the point of beginning.

<br />PARCEL II:

<br />Beginning at the point of intersection of a line that is parallel
<br />with and distant Westerly 30 feet, measured at right angles, from
<br />the West line of Lot 14, Block "B", Bailey's Addition as per map
<br />recorded in Book 21, page 12, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
<br />County, California, with a line that is parallel with and distant
<br />Northerly 30 feet, measured at right angles, from the North line
<br />of Lot 14, Block "B" of said Addition; thence, along said last
<br />mentioned parallel line, North 89" 58' 38" East, a distance of
<br />55.74 feet; thence North 0° 01' 22" West, a distance of 37 feet;
<br />thence North 89" 58' 38" East, a distance of 44.29 feet; thence
<br />North 0° 01' 22" West, a distance of 13.91 feet; thence North
<br />89" 58'38" East, a distance of 79.03 feet; thence North 79" 10' 08"
<br />East, a distance 6f 336.35 feet; thence North 88" 10' 03" East, a
<br />distance of 190.85 feet; thence South 83" 26' 46" East, a distance
<br />of 139.37 feet to a point in the center line of Santa Fe Street,
<br />30 feet wide; thence, along said center line, South 0° 09' 47"
<br />West, a distance of 104.03 feet to a point in the surveyed center
<br />line of First Street; thence along said surveyed center line the
<br />following bearing and distances: South 89° 59' 33" West, a distance
<br />of 28.03 feet; thence South 89~ 58' 38" West, a distance of 405.28
<br />feet; thence South 89° 58' 38" West, a distance of 405 feet to the
<br />point of beginning.

<br />Subject to an easement along that portion of the Southerly 5 feet
<br />of said Parcel I, condemned to the use of the City of Santa Ana,
<br />by Final Order of Condemnation recorded June 24, 1930, in Book 393
