RESOLUTION 68-158 FIXING CHARGES FOR THE <br />INSTALLATION OF NEW WATER MAINS AND A <br />FRONT FOOTAGE CHARGE FOR CONNECTION TO <br />EXISTING WATER MAINS FOR WHICH NO PAYMENT <br />HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN MADE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cost of installing water mains directly benefiting <br />a parcel of property should be borne by the owner or owners of said <br />property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Water Utility may require the installation of <br />water mains with excess capacity, to provide for the distribution of <br />water through or by said property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the Water Utility collect the <br />cost of said water main which is a direct benefit to the property <br />requesting such installation; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the following charges <br />shall be collected from all applicants requesting the installation of <br />new water mains. These charges shall be collected for only that size <br />or sizes required for the requested development as determined by the <br />Director of Public Works: <br /> <br />6" or smaller water mains at $4.40 per linear foot <br />8" or larger water mains at $6.00 per linear foot <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a front footage charge of one-half <br />of the said linear foot charge shall be collected for each recorded <br />parcel of lot requesting the connection of a service to an existing <br />water main for which no previous payment has been made. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That this Resolution shall be effectual <br />as of the effective date of Ordinance No. NS-936. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />at its regular meeting held on the 21st day of October, 1968. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) SS <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, DORIS M.
