RESOLUTION 70-29 FIXING CHARGES FOR THE <br /> S AL ioN 0F MAINS AND <br />FRO FOO GEFOR OO E¢ ION 50 <br />EXISTING WATER MAINS FOR WHICH NO PAYMENT <br />HAS PREVIOUSLY BEEN MADE AND RESCINDING <br />RESOLUTION 68-158 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the cost of installing water mains directly benefiting <br />a parcel of property should be borne by the owner or owners of <br />said property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Water Utility may require the installation of <br />water mains with excess capacity, to provide for the distribution <br />of water through or by said property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the Water Utility collect <br />the cost of said water main which is a direct benefit to the <br />property requesting such installation; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the following charges <br />shall be collected from all applicants requesting the installation <br />of new water mains. These charges shall be collected for only <br />that size or sizes required for the requested development as deter- <br />mined by the Director of Public Works: <br /> <br />6" or smaller water mains at $4.40 per linear foot <br />8" or larger water mains at $6.00 per linear foot <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the above charges shall be <br />waived if the applicant is allowed the option of installing the <br />water mains, hydrants and/or water services at his own expense. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a front footage charge of one- <br />half of the said linear foot charge shall be collected for each <br />recorded parcel of lot requesting the connection of a service to <br />an existing water main for which no previous payment has been made. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by reason of the foregoing, it is necessary that <br />Resolution 68-158 is hereby rescinded. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of April, 1970. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br />MAYO R <br /> <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE ) ss <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ) <br /> <br /> I, FLORENCE I.
