Rogers) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Offer to sell <br />property <br />Stella M. Secrest <br /> <br />In Re <br />Or. Co.Flood <br />Control District; <br />Board of Supervisors <br /> (Delhi D~ainage <br />District) <br /> <br /> In Re <br /> Recommendation of <br /> Personnel Board <br /> (employment of <br />_ nurse) <br /> <br />and certain. Communication was read from C. Arthur Nisson, Jr., <br />Attorney for Donald B. Christeson, petitioner, stating that the Board <br />of Supervisors are processing a petition for the withdrawal of the <br />Chrlsteson property at the northwest corner of the intersection of <br />North Flower Street and Memory Lane from County Sanitation District <br />NO. 2 of Orange County and the petitioner is seeking to annex said <br />property ~o County Sanitation District No. 1. On motion of Council- <br />man Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the petition, report and <br />communications were received and filed. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, <br />on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 54-7 proposing to annex <br /> territory ~o the City of Santa Ana, describing <br /> said territory, giving notice of the time and <br /> place of public hearing where all protests will <br /> be heard and passed upon, and designating the <br /> name of "Christeson Annexation" as an appropriate <br /> name for said territory" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br />Thomas F. Larsen, Milford W. <br />Courtney R. Chandler. <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Dahl, <br /> <br />With the verbal approval of Donald B. Christeson and on motion of <br />Councilman Lateen, seconded by Dahl and carried, action was continued <br />until February 15th, 1954, on Tentative Map of Tract No. 2089 in order <br />to reach an agreement with the Department of Public Works as to the <br />drainage problems involved. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, Map <br />of Tract No. 1744, bond in the amount of $4500.00 and agreement sub- <br />mitted by Kenneth K. Rogers crux, were approved for the dedication of <br />Eighth Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, <br />communication from Stella M. Secrest offering $o sell property at <br /> <br />633~ North Van Ness Avenue, was referred to the CitY Manager for <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Orange County Flood Control District <br />setting forth t~he recommendations a s ~o the required dimensions of <br />ditch and width of right-of-way for the improvement of the "West <br />Ditch" of the Delhi Drainage District between Edinger Street and <br />Fai~vlew Avenue; also, excerpt from Minutes of meeting of the Board <br />of Supervisors held January 5th, 1954, reference proposed report on <br />the Delhi Drainage Ditch. On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded <br />by Jerome and carried, the communications were received, filed and <br />Clerk instructed to address communications to the Board of Supervisors <br />and the Orange County Flood Control District expressing appreciation <br />for their prompt action in the matter. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the Personnel Board recommending that <br />the Council consider the advisability of employing a nurse to make <br />house calls on employees reporting absence, due to illness. On <br />motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> <br /> <br />
