<br />Minutes of the Executive Committee of the Joint Outfall Sewer, held
<br />at Anaheim, January 7th, 1954 and Orange County Mosquito Abatement

<br /> District activities report for December, 1953, were received and filed.

<br /> On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br /> notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage
<br /> application made by Henry B. Ortega, dba The Balboa Club, 316 East
<br /> Fourth Street, was received and filed.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br /> applications of Roy Harold Williams and John Roethl to d~ive taxicabs,
<br /> were received, filed and permits granted.
<br />
<br /> On recommendation of the Director of Public Works and on motion of
<br /> Councilman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, California Gunite
<br /> Company, Inc., was granted an extension of time to February 10, 1954,
<br /> for completion of contract for the construction of the Bristol Street
<br /> Res ervolr.

<br /> Communication was read from the Treasurer submitting a list of persons
<br /> delinquent in the payment of sales tax, and on motion of Councilman
<br /> Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, February 15th, 1954 was set as
<br /> the date of hearing so that these persons may show cause why their
<br /> sales tax permits should not be revoked.
<br />
<br /> Communication was read from the Assistant City Engineer advising tha~
<br /> improvements within Tracts Nos. 1531 and 1901 have been completed, and
<br /> on motion of Gouncilman Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, bonds
<br /> filed by Kenneth K. Rogers, in the sums of $7,000.00 and $6,000.00,
<br />
<br /> were ordered released.

<br /> It was moved by Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, ~hat
<br /> Tentative Map of Trac~s Nos. 2068, 2069 and 2070, submitted by Douglas
<br /> Edwards, be approved subject to the following modifications: That the
<br /> dedication of the right-of-way for Fai~view Avenue on the northerly
<br /> boundary of the subdivision be $2 feet between the north line of the
<br /> subdivision and the north property line; that the dedication for street
<br /> purposes on the south boundary of the subdivision on Edinger Street be
<br /> 42 feet from the south property line to the south boundary of the sub-
<br /> division; that a strip 10 feet wide easterly f~om the west boundary of
<br /> the subdivision be dedicated for public use; that the street improve-
<br /> ments shall include the construction of concrete curbs, gutters and
<br /> cross gutters to be placed as required by the Director of Public Works,
<br /> and that street paving lmprovemen~ shall be done on the basis of 6" of
<br /> gravel base and 2~" asphaltic pavement.

<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, Revised
<br />Tentative Map of Trac~ No. 1341, submitted by J. T · Van Tuyle, cover-
<br />ing property bounded on the south by Fifth Street, on the east by
<br />English Street, on the west by Hawley Street and consisting of 38 lots,
<br />was approved subject to the condition that half of Hawley Street be
<br />shown as part of the Map and that combination curbs and gutters
<br />
