Section <br />of Resol. 5!lb <br />(salaries) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Concrete ssnltary <br />sewer line on <br />Center St. in <br />Sant~ Aha Acres <br /> <br />industry is going to <br />people in the area. <br /> <br />Roll Call: Ayes, <br /> Noes, <br /> <br />Assistant Secretary, Chamber of Commerce, stated that the industrial <br />proposal has the backing of the Chamber of Commerce Industrial <br />Committee, the Board of Directors and the City Planning Commission. <br />Jack Diamond, 2128 South Van Ness Street, inquired why the southwest <br />area is being considered for industry when the southeast portion is <br />already zoned for that purpose. Attorney Tom Heffernan, represent- <br />ing the owners of property to the west of Bristol Street stated the <br />owners were ready ~o subdivide the property for homes if the proposed <br />area is zoned for industry and that homes have skirted industries all <br />over Southern California. Reverend Christopher J. Bradley of St. <br />Anne's Catholic Church said he would oppose the industrial zoning if <br /> <br /> interfere with the health and welfare of the <br /> <br /> The Mayor announced that the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Councilmen <br />Councilmen <br /> <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.MeBride <br />Thomas F. Larsen, Milford W. Dahl, <br />Courtney R. Chandler <br />None <br /> Motion lost. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, <br />on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 54-12 amending Section 3 of <br /> Resolution No. 5114 entitled tResolution establish- <br /> ing a basic compensation plan for certain classes <br /> of employment in the municipal service of the City <br /> of Santa Aha, and establishing regulations for the <br /> placement of present employees within the wage and <br /> salary schedules provided'" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br /> Thomas F. Larsen, Milford W. Dahl, <br /> Courtney R. Chandler. <br /> Noes, Councilmen None <br /> Absent, Councilmen None <br />. <br />It was moved by Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, <br />that the Mana~er request a written opinion from the Director of Public <br />Works as go the advisability of the City of Santa Ana accepting from <br />the County Sanitation District, the existing 20" or less concrete <br />sewer line and right of way on Center Street in Santa Ana Acres and <br />the northerly extension thereof to Myrtle Stress and the southerly <br />extension thereof to Edinger Street and westerly on Edinger Street to <br /> <br />Fairview Avenue. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, <br /> <br />City Council adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />seconded by McBride and carried, ~he <br /> Clerk of ~he Council <br /> <br /> <br />
