On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Lsu~sen and <br /> carried, the Continuing Special License for use of public place or <br /> way was granted. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> Ordinance amending Section 9116 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code to <br /> increase the fees on variances and zone changes, as prepared by the <br /> Attorney, was referred to the Planning Commission in order ~hat a <br /> public hearing may be held. <br /> <br /> Michael Garcia, 2118 Maple Street, owner of property on West 8th Stree' <br /> between Hawley and King Streets stated that septic tanks are in use in <br /> the area and requested that the City install a sewer system. On <br /> motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the matter <br /> was referred to the Manager and Acting Director of Public Works to <br /> determine if it is possible for the City to construct a sewer system <br /> on West 8th Street between Hawley and King Streets. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Lateen and carried, proper <br /> officials were authorized to execute agreement dated June 21st, .1954, <br /> between the City and the Orange County Peace Officers Association, Inc , <br /> providing for the use of the target range facilities at the tr~aining <br /> center located on Struck Avenue Just east of the Santa Ana River. ~ <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, that <br /> the question of amending Chapter 5, Section 7500 of the Municipal Code <br /> be referred to the Chief Building Inspector, Attorney and Acting <br /> Director of Pu61ic Works to consider prohibition of septic tanks or <br /> cesspools in the City. <br /> <br /> The Manager recommended that the amount of $139,112.10 received from <br /> the County Sanitation Districts 2 and 3 for prepayment on Term Agreement <br /> for purchase and sale of sewtge facilities be held in suspense until <br /> <br />. July let and be recorded as a revenue for the fiscal year 1955-55 and <br /> that such revenue be distributed as follows: $121,437.10 be allocated <br /> to Fund 62 City Hall Acquisition and Construction and that the remaind r <br /> of $17,675.00 be allocated in various amounts to the Bond Interest and <br /> Redemption Funds in accordance with the Budget to be adopted for the <br /> fiscal year 195~-55.
