<br />fixing the amount of money asdertained to carry
<br />on the various departments of the City of Santa
<br />Aha, to pay the bonded indebtedness falling due
<br />for the current year 1954-1955, fixing the rate
<br />of taxation for the current year 1955-55~ and
<br />designating the number of cents on each $100.00
<br />for the various funds of said City and hereby
<br />levied on the whole of the taxable property of
<br />said City"

<br />stating that it was the opinion of the Board that a survey should be
<br />taken of the vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the downtown streets
<br />by an impartial survey organization, and requestin~ that moneys be ma~l,

<br />Communication was read from the Division of Highways stating that in
<br />connection with the sale of excess State owned property along the Sant~
<br />Ana Freeway, Road VII-ORA-2-SA, the State owned portions of Lots i and
<br />3 in Block l0 of Subdivision of Blocks l0 and ll of Santa Aha East,
<br />
<br />located at ~he southeasterly corner of l?th Street and Poinsettia
<br />
<br />Street, and in order to make this excess property more saleable and
<br />return same to th~ tax rolls, it is desirable that a portion of
<br />Poinsettia Street be v~cated by the City. On motion of Councilman
<br />Larsen, seconded by Jerome and carried, the matter was referred to the
<br />
<br />Manager for recommendation.
