Reques that City <br />remove light the cost of removing a light standard which is not on the property linel <br />standard <br />H.S.Mitchell at 1201 South Main Street and blacks a proposed driveway. The <br /> <br />C <br /> <br />Manager stated that it is an established policy that light standards <br /> <br />shall be removed at the property owner"s expense and recommended that <br /> <br />this policy be continued. On motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded b~ <br /> <br />Jerome and carried, the recommendation of the Manager was approved and <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request for <br />four-way stop sign <br />Mrs. Claude C. Neet <br /> <br /> Clerk instructed to notify Mr. Mitchell of the Council's action. <br /> ,, <br />Corm~unicatlon was r-~ad from Mrs. Claude C. Neet, 1451 McFadden Street, <br />requesting that four-way, stop signs be installed at McFadden and <br />McClay Street. The Manager reported that traffic is stopped on McCla~ <br />Street and recommended that no change be made in the traffic regulation~ <br /> <br />at this location. On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by <br /> <br />Larsen and carried, the recommendation was approved and Clerk instruct- <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />O.A.Smith, Pres. <br />P.E.Ry. Co. <br />(remove line <br />on ~th St.) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Relocate S.A.V.I. <br />line E. 17th St. <br /> <br />ed to notify Mrs. Neer of the Council's action. <br />, <br />The Clerk stated ahems in receipt of a letter signed by O. A. Smith, <br />President, Pacific Electric Railway Company, that the Pacific Electric <br />has filed application with Interstate Commerce Commission covering <br />abandonment of line in Fourth Street. <br /> <br />The Manager stated that the Santa Ama Valley Irrigation line is in the <br />street development on East 17th Street and requested approval for <br /> <br />negotiation and signing of an agreement with the District for the re- <br /> <br />location of the line. It was moved by Councilman McBride, ~eeonded <br /> <br />by Larsen and carried, that the City go on record approving an agree- <br />ment for an expenditure, not to exceed ~8500.00, for the replacing of <br /> <br />the Santa Ana Valley Irrigation Line on East 17th Street between Grand <br /> <br />In Re <br />Leave of absence <br />City Manager <br /> <br />Avenue and the east City Limits. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br />request of Carl J. Thornton, City Manager, 'for a leave of absence of <br />not more than twelve days between August 16th and September 13th, 195~, <br /> <br />was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Larsen, <br /> <br />City Council adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br /> Mayor of~h~*City of Santa Ama <br /> <br />seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> <br />Clerk of the Council <br /> <br /> <br />
