RESOLUTION 70-45 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY DESIGNATED "GRAND AND FAIRHAVEN SOUTHWEST ANNEX" WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved a description of territory hereinbelow contained and annexation of said territory to the city of Santa Ana, california; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Government Code Section 54797.1, the Local Agency Formation Commission of Orange County has approved the within annexation and has authorized the City Council of the city of Santa Ana, california, to annex said territory without notice and hearing by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, California, hereby finds and declares that said territory was uninhabited at the time of the adoption of this Resolution, and is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana; that all of the statements hereinabove are true and correct; and that said territory shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the city existing at the time of this annexation; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all of the territory in the County of Orange, State of California, described as: Beginning at an angle point on the City Boundary of the City of Santa Ana as annexed by the Fairhaven and Grand North Annex by Resolution Number 69-80, said point being the intersection of the West line of the City Boundary of the City of Santa Ana as annexed by the Fairhaven and Grand Southeast Annex by Ordinance NS-605, with a line parallel with and distant 30.00 feet Southerly, measured at right angles, from the center line of Fairhaven Avenue, said point being the Northeast corner of Lot 16 of the Santa Ana Grand Avenue Tract as shown on a map thereof, recorded in Book 26, Page 53, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence South along the West line of said City of Santa Ana Boundary as annexed by Ordinance NS-605 and along the West line of Grand Avenue, said West line being parallel with and 40.00 feet West, measured at right angles, from the center line of Grand Avenue, a distance of 666.14 feet to an angle point on the City Boundary of Santa Ana as annexed by said ordinance NS-605; thence departing from said City Boundary of Santa Ana South along said West line of Grand Avenue, a distance of 416.36 feet to an angle point on the City Boundary of Santa Ana as annexed by the Grand Avenue and Santa Clara N.E. Annexation by Ordinance NS-524, said angle point being the Northeast corner of Lot 34 of said Santa Ana Grand Avenue Tract; thence West along the City Boundary of the City of Santa Ana as annexed by said Ordinance NS-524, a distance of 322.72 feet to an angle point on said City Boundary and to a point on the East line of the City Boundary of Santa Ana as annexed by the Fairhaven and Glassell Southeast Annex by Ordinance NS-735; thence North along the East line of said City Boundary of Santa Ana as annexed by Ordinance NS-735, a distance of 1082.50 feet to an angle point on said City Boundary and to a point on the Southerly line of the City Boundary of the City of Santa Ana as annexed by the Fairhaven and Grand North Annex by Resolution Number 69-80, said point being the Northwest corner of Lot 16 of said Santa Ana Grand Avenue Tract; thence South 88° 59' 38" East along said City Boundary of Santa Ana as annexed by Resolution Number 69-80, a distance of 324.75 feet to the point of beginning. -1-
