RESOLUTION 70-62 AFFIRMING THE DECISION OF THE <br />pLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING A VARIANCE ON <br />VARIANCE APPLICATION 70-28, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN <br />APPLICABLE CONDITIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after public hearing on notice, the Planning <br />Commission granted a variance on Variance Application 70-28, <br />filed by RALPH D. MITZEL, to permit the construction and <br />operation of night parking facilities for vacation vehicles <br />and trailers in the R-2 B, C-2 and M-1 Districts at 1401 North <br />Harbor Boulevard, Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the city Council on its own motion set the matter <br />for hearing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the city Council, after public hearing on notice <br />has determined that said Variance Application meets the require- <br />ments of Section 41-638 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code and that <br />said Variance should be granted ~6bjec% to certain applicable <br />conditions; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana does hereby affirm the decision of the <br />Planning Commission and does hereby grant a variance on Variance <br />Application 70-28, filed by RALPH D. MITZEL, to permit the <br />construction a~d~operation of night parking facilities for <br />vacation vehicles and trailers in the R-2 B, C-2 and M-1 <br />Districts at 1401 North Harbor Boulevard, Santa Ana; said <br />Variance is granted subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />That the development be in accordance with the approved <br />revised plot plan subject to minor modifications approved <br />by the Blanning Department. <br /> <br />Landscaping plan be submitted to and approved by the Planning <br />Department for all recreation, park and landscape areas. <br />Said landscaping shall be installed and permanently maintained. <br />Revised plot plan be submitted showing a four-foot landscaped <br />strip around the perimeter of the subject property, except at <br />the~area of~in~e~s~ndlegress onto Harbor Boulevard. Said <br />landscaping shall include not less than one tree for every <br />16 lineal feet of said landscaped strip· Said trees shall <br />be not less than 10 feet high at time of plan%inq and shall <br />be of any of the species set forth in Section 41-602 of the <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br /> <br />3. That only two permanent trailers (for caretakers) be permitted <br /> on the site. <br /> <br />A six-foot high masonry wall <br />subject property. Height is <br />finished grade. <br /> <br />shall be constructed around the <br />to be measured from the highest <br /> <br />Entire parking area (except for those areas planted in hybrid <br />bermuda grass) and driveway aisles shall be paved with asphalt <br />or concrete. <br /> <br />6. Elevations of recreation buildings and office shall be sub- <br /> mitted to and approved by the Planning Department. <br /> <br />7.
