Chandler <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, <br /> <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> <br />following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance declarina~ the necessity for and the <br />intention to acquire and improve certain real <br />property in the City of Santa Ana, California, <br />as Vehicle Parking District Lot No. l" <br /> <br />was introduced, Considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Larsen, seconded by Dahl and carried, that <br />the Santa Ana Planning Commission be reGuestad to study and originate an <br />amendment to Section 9111 of the Municipal Co~e and other necessary <br />Sections to add "auto ~reeking and salvage yards" to list of businesses <br />prohibited in said Section 9111 and such other Sections as are necessary <br />to limit future ya~ds to the M-2 Zone. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Earl J. Frey, 2~16 Bush Street, protesting <br />against the noise from the open ~ailroad crossing of the Southern <br /> <br />Pacific Railroad at North Main Street and Santa Clara Avenue, and on <br />motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the eom- <br /> <br />munication was received, filed and Clerk instructed to advise Mr. Frey <br />that the. Council has no Jurisdiction in the matter nor power to alleviat <br /> <br />the a~noyance. <br /> <br /> <br />
