<br />the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage application of
<br />Harry L. Concannon, 2037 South Main Street, were received and filed.

<br />denied as it is an established policy of the Council not to ~ant
<br />permission to use City properties for use of public agencies, such as

<br />the American Red Cross, Boys~ Club, etc.

<br />Communication was read from the Secretary, Chamber of Commerce, statin
<br />the Board of Directors wish tb support other recommendations prevlousl
<br />made to the Council for a study of ways an8 means to reduce traffic
<br />congestion especialJ~~ in the central business district. On motion
<br />of Councilman' Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the matter was
<br />referred to the Manager, Department of Public Works and the Chief of
<br />Police for recommendation at their early convenience.

<br />request of the Kiwanis Club of North Santa Ana for permission to
<br />solicit funds, September 24th and~th, 1954, was granted.
