(2) <br /> <br />Since there is no City service counterpart to the <br />Orange county Health and Medical Service, City <br />employees as available, Red Cross Personnel and <br />volunteers will be utilized. These volunteers <br />will include professional medical personnel, <br />such as M.D.'s, D.O.'s, R.N.'S, D.D.S.'s and <br />para medical personnel, optometrists, pharma- <br />cists and morticians. These volunteers will <br />work under direction of an appointed City <br />Medical Officer. <br /> <br />(3) Emergency staffing of existing facilities. <br /> <br />(4) Establishment of first aid centers, pre-packaged <br /> disaster hospitals, casualty evacuation plan. <br /> <br />(5) Assist in the defense against chemical and <br /> biological attack. <br /> <br />(6) <br /> <br />Direct and control the utilization of permanent <br />and Civil Defense emergency hospitals and first <br />aid stations, maintain a close liaison with the <br />chiefs of medical and nursing personnel for the <br />most effective use of these individuals. <br /> <br />(7) Coordinates sanitation measures. <br /> <br />(8) Assists in RADEF tasks in a war caused emergency. <br /> <br />Coroner <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />The coroner services operates on a county wide <br />basis under the over all direction of the <br />Coroner, County of Orange, thus the emergency <br />mortuary service is an extension into the City <br />of the County of Orange services. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />This emergency service consists of all regularly <br />accredited morticians and operationally related <br />personnel of the city. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />This service will be responsible for proper <br />identification of the dead, establishment of <br />legal proof of death, removal of bodies from <br />public view, preparation of official death <br />records, and final disposal of the bodies, that <br />they will not be a public health hazard. <br /> <br />-11- <br /> <br />/? <br /> <br /> <br />
