c. Radiological Defense <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />A radiological defense officer will be desig- <br />nated by the Director and will be responsible <br />for training of radiological personnel. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />The Radef Officer is the principal advisor on <br />radiological matters to the Director and his <br />staff. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />Emergency radiological defense personnel will <br />consist of City employees and volunteers trained <br />to activate Radef services in the Emergency <br />Operations Center on order. <br /> <br />(4) Perform Radef surveys not performed by other <br /> services. <br /> <br />(6) Predict, monitor and report radioactive fallout. <br /> <br />(7) <br /> <br />Assess the radiological situation and provide <br />warning of hazards to public safety and emergency <br />operations. <br /> <br />(8) <br /> <br />Recommend and advise on safety and protective <br />measures to minimize exposure and facilitate <br />recovery operations by other services. <br /> <br />d. Communications <br /> <br />(1) Coordinates all communications and radio support <br /> for EOC. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Integrates the Santa Ana Section of the Orange <br />County Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service and <br />Citizens Band Units into operation at the communi- <br />cations center. <br /> <br />(3) Coordinates with local telephone company and <br /> telegraph company. <br /> <br />e. American Red Cross <br /> <br />The American Red Cross will provide funds with which <br />to finance all its relief operations during natural <br />disaster. In war caused disasters, the American National <br />Red Cross will provide assistance, if possible, in meet- <br /> <br /> <br />
