RESOLUTION 70-82 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING <br />INTENTION TO VACATE PORTIONS OF HUBBARD STREET, <br />REGENT STREET, AND WARREN STREET: RESERVING AN <br />EASEMENT THEREIN FOR WATER MAIN PURPOSES, AND <br />GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING THEREON <br /> <br /> W~EREAS, Hubbard Street, between Warren Street and the north <br />boundary of the Hubbard Tract; Regent Street, between Lyon Street <br />and Grand Avenue; and Warren Street, between Hubbard Street and <br />Lyon Street are no longer necessary for present or prospective <br />street purposes, and the Department of Public Works and the Planning <br />Commission of the City of Santa Ana have recommended that a public <br />hearing be set on the question of vacating said rights of way; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby approves the map attached hereto and <br />orders the same filed with the original of this Resolution in the <br />office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made <br />to said map for the exterior boundaries of the rights of way <br />proposed to be vacated; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby declares <br />its intention to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation <br />Act of 1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets <br />and Highways Code) to vacate those~portion~7of Hubbar~ Street, <br />Regent Street, and Warren Street between Grand Avenue and Lyon <br />Street, and reserve therein an easement for water main purposes. <br />Said rights of way proposed to be vacated lie in the City of Santa <br />Ana, County of Orange, State of California, and are described as: <br /> <br />PARCEL 1: REGENT STREET, 60.00 feet wide, as shown on a map of <br />the Hubbard Tract in the City of Santa Ana, as per map recorded <br />in Book 24, Page 22 of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of <br />the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, bounded <br />Easterly by a line parallel with and distant 30.00 feet westerly, <br />measured at right angles, with the monumented center line of <br />Lyon Street as established on October 3, 1955 by Ordinance NS 135 <br />of the City of Santa Ana, and bounded westerly by a line parallel <br />with and distant 60.00 feet easterly, measured at right angles, <br />from the center line of Grand Avenue (formerly McClay Street) <br />as shown on a map filed in Book 12, Page 46 of Records of Survey <br />in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California. <br /> <br />PARCEL 2: That portion of WARREN STREET, 66.00 feet wide, as shown <br />on a map of the Hubbard Tract in the City of Santa Ana, as per <br />map recorded in Book 24, Page 22 of Miscellaneous Records, in the <br />office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California <br />bounded Westerly by a line parallel with and distant 60.00 feet <br />easterly,measured at right angles, from the center line of Grand <br />Avenue (formerly McClay Street) as shown on a map filed in Book <br />12, Page 46 of Records of Survey in the office of the County <br />Recorder of Orange County, California and bounded easterly by <br />the Northerly prolongation of the West line of the East 107.58 <br />feet of Lot 2 of the Smith and Maley Subdivision of the McClay <br />Tract, in the City of Santa Ana, as per map recorded in Book 22, <br />Page 96 of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the County <br />Recorder of said Los Angeles County. <br /> <br />RESERVING for the City of Santa Ana an easement for a potable <br />water main over said 66.00 feet of that portion of Warren Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
