Ross St. - Leroy <br />Stockman etal <br /> <br />subdivision bond in the sum of $5,300.00, and communication from <br />Planning Department stating the Department of Public Works. gave no <br />recommendations, were presented. On motion of Councilman Jerome, <br />seconded by Larsen and carried, the preliminary map and bond were <br />approved~ subject to signing of agreement covering improvements. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, action <br />on Drellminary map submitted by Emmet C. Rogers showing a subdivision <br />consisting of three lots situated at future 22nd Street and Bristol <br /> <br /> Street, was continued until the next meeting. <br /> # <br />On recommendation of the Department of Public Works and on motion of <br />Councilman Lateen, seconded by Jerome and carried, the reGuest of <br />Harry F. Coleman to remove 20' of curbing at 10~ Spurgeon Stree~ and <br />replace with driveway along with two small existing driveways, was <br />granted. <br /> <br />Request was read from M and S Maintenance and Construction for per- <br />mission to construct one 30' driveway and extend the existing driveway <br />to 35', and to start the north driveway 2' from the property line <br />instead of 8', for the Home Oil Company at 2~13 South Main Street. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Jerome, <br />seconded by Lateen and carried, permission was granted for one curb <br />cut beginning 3' north of the fire hydrant to extend northerly for a <br />total distance of 32' measured at the top of the curb, the north drive- <br />way to be not over 35' in width measured at the top of the curb and <br />the north driveway may begin 2~ south of the north property line. <br /> <br />The curb cuts are approved on condition that an uninterrupted distance <br />of $2~ measured at the top of the curb be left between the two drive- <br /> <br />way s · <br /># <br />Request was read from George Morton, owner of the business building <br />at 1101-03-05 W. 17th Street for a yellow zone at the northwest corner <br />of 17th and Towner at the ~ So White Automatic Laundry and that the <br />street be marked for car parking aronnd the building. On motion of <br />Councilman Lateen, seconded by Jerome and carried, the matter was <br />referred to the Department of Public Works for preparation of a <br />Resolution. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, <br />that the Council determines a prescription pharmacy at 1326 North <br />Broadway is a use authorized within the meaning of the variance <br />previously granted to George Penney, April 20th, 1953, provided there <br />be no sale of merchandise other than prescriptions, medicines and <br />related items; the Building Department is directed to issue a use and <br />occupancy permit accordingly to Edward S. Schultz and James J. Brehany' <br />upon the filing by them of an affidavit and agreement, agreeing to <br /> <br />restrict their activities according to the above determination. <br /># <br />It was moved by Councilman Larsen, seconded by Jerome and carried, <br />that the Mana&~er be authorized to close the purchase transaction on <br />property owned by Leroy and Elizabeth May Brockman and Clarabelle <br /> <br />in the sum of $13,850.00 and the Mayor authorized to enter into escrow~ <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
