RESOLUTION 71-105 AUTHORIZING <br />CONDEMNATION OF REAL PROPERTY <br />FOR THE WIDENING OF SEVENTEENTH <br />STREET FROM BROADWAY TO BUSH ST. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide for a more orderly flow of <br />traffic on Seventeenth Street in the City of Santa Ana it has <br />become necessary to widen and improve said street from Broadway <br />to Bush Street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana does hereby find and declare that the public <br />interest and necessity require that Seventeenth Street be widened <br />and improved from Broadway to Bush Street to provide for a more <br />orderly flow of east-west traffic, and further~quire that said <br />City do have, take, and acquire for street purposes that certain <br />real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State <br />of California, desc~bed as: <br /> <br />PARCEL 1: <br /> <br />Commencing at a point 345.2 feet West of the North- <br />east corner of Section 12, Township 5 South, Range <br />10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridan; thence <br />North 89° 56' 40" West 100.00 feet along the center <br />line of Seventeenth Street as shown on a map recorded <br />in Book 7, Page 42 of Records of Survey in the office <br />of the County Recorder, Records of Orange County, <br />California; thence South 01 16' 20" West 40.00 feet <br />to a point on a line parallel with and 40.00 feet <br />Southerly, measured at right angles, from the center <br />line of said Seventeenth Street and to the true <br />point of beginning; thence South 89° 56' 40" East <br />95.60 feet; thence South 0~ 16' 20" West 37.14 feet <br />to a point of cusp with a tangent curve conoave <br />Southwesterly and having a radius of 25.00 feet; <br />thence Northwesterly along said curve through a <br />central angle of 90° 19' 40", an arc distance of <br />39.34 feet to a point on a tangent line parallel <br />with and 52.00 feet Southerly, measured at right <br />angles, from the center line of said Seventeenth <br />Street; thence North 89° 56' 40" West along last <br />mentioned parallel line a distance of 70.46 feet; <br />thence North 0° 16' 20" East 12.00 feet to the true <br />point of beginning. <br /> <br />PARCEL 2: <br /> <br />Those portions of Lots 2 and 4 in Block A of <br />Goodwin's Addition to the Town of Santa Ana, as <br />shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 13, Page <br />48 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, <br />California, described as follows: <br /> <br />A. The Northerly 22.00 feet of said Lot 2. <br /> <br />Excepting therefrom those portions previously <br />dedicated for street purposes. <br /> <br />A spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded on <br />the North by the Southerly line of the above <br />described Parcel 2A; bounded on the West by <br />a line parallel with and 45.00 feet Easterly, <br />measured at right angles, from the center <br />line of Main Street; and bounded Southeasterly <br />by the arc of a curve concave Southeasterly, <br />having a radius of 25.00 feet and tangent to <br />said North and West boundaries. <br /> <br />Excepting therefrom those portions previously <br />dedicated for street purposes. <br /> <br />- 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
