RESOLUTION 71-115 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, INDICATING ITS INTENT <br />TO JOIN IN A COMPREHENSIVE DRAINAGE PROJEC~ IN <br />NORTHWEST SANTA ANAAND SOUTHEAST GARDEN GROVE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha has presently budgeted $77,000 <br />in the 1971-72 fiscal year for the construction of the West Washington <br />Storm Drain in conjunction with the Orange County Flood Control District <br />and the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to qualify for said federal grant, it appears <br />desirable to enter into a more comprehensive project including the City <br />of Garden Grove in addition to the other agencies previously mentioned, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this City must indicate its intent to provide a <br />specific appropriation in the 1972-73 fiscal year for this program, <br />program to be funded as follows: <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />50% Federal HUD funds - $350,000 <br />25% OCFC District - 175,000 <br />12½% City of Garden Grove - 87,500 <br />12½% City of Santa Aha - . 87~500 <br /> <br />TOTAL: $700,000 <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana hereby indicates its intention to proceed with the project <br />as outlined in Chief Engineer Osborne's letter, dated November 9, 1971, and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Santa Aha authorizes the <br />Orange County Flood Control District to act in behalf of this City in the <br />submission of the grant application and the administration of such grant <br />with the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this City expresses its appreciation <br />to the Orange County Flood Control District for its foresight and initiative <br />in its efforts to achieve an economical and coordinated solution to a <br />mutual and regional drainage problem. <br /> <br />ATTEST: .
