<br /> On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and c~_rr~ed, the
<br /> communication from the Planning Commission recommending approval of
<br /> proposed setback lines on both sides of Memory Lane, between Flower
<br /> Street and the wosterly City-Limits, as 60' from the surveyed center
<br /> line measured at right angles, was received and filed.
<br />
<br /> Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending that
<br /> minimum sotback lines of 20' be established on lots in Tentative Tract
<br /> No. 2483, involving property bounded on the north by McFadden Street,
<br /> east by Standard Avenue, south by Hobart Street and on the west by the
<br /> Pacific Electric Railroad, and consisting of 266 lots, as requested by
<br /> Jennings-Halderman, Incorporated. On motion of Councilman Dahl,
<br /> seconded by Jerome and carried, the communication was received and
<br /> filed.
<br />
<br /> The Manager gave an oral report on the petition signed by 56? members
<br /> of the Wilson Elementary School P.T.A. requesting a mechanical stop
<br /> and go signal at the intersection of Washington and Bristol Streets.
<br />
<br /> It Was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, that
<br /> regular standard signals be Installed immediately at the intersection
<br /> of Washington and Bristol Streets.
<br />
<br /> The Manager requested a transfer of funds from Fund 11-000-911 Un-
<br /> applied Appropriation to Fund 51-563-643, in the amount of $3,000.00,
<br /> for the purchase and installation of traffic signals at the intsrsectien
<br /> of Washington and Bristol Streets, and on motion of Councilman Jerome,
<br /> seconded by Dahl and carried, the transfer of funds was approved.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried,
<br /> Preliminary Map, submitted by John V. Sarinana, showing a parcel of
<br /> land located at the southwest corner of the intersection of 8th and
<br /> English Streets,. was approved, subject to the conditions as imposed by
<br /> the Department of Public Works and the Planning Department.

<br /> On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larcen and carried,
<br /> Tentative Map of Tracts Nos. 2487 and 2534, submitted by John M. Hoy,
<br /> on property loca=ed at 01d Newport Road, Raitt Street and south of
<br />
<br /> West O-ccidental Stree$ and consisting of 280 lots in Tract No. 2487
<br /> and 241 lots in Tract No. 2534, was approved with the exception of
<br /> that portion of Tract No. 2534 lying on the easterly side of Raitt
<br /> Avenue, which portion was deleted from said Tentative Map.

<br /> On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by McBride and c&rri~d, the
<br /> communication from the Planning Commission recommending approval of
<br /> minimum setback lines of 20~ on lots in Tentative Tract No. 2648,
<br /> located at the north~,;est corner of Fruit and Mabury Streets, as
<br /> quested by Hugh Gibbs, ~,~as received and filed.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, Tentative
<br /> Map of Tract No. 2648, submitted by Hugh Gibbs, on property located
<br /> north of Fruit Street, west of Mabury Street, at the Santa Ana Freeway,
<br /> and consisting of 251 lots, was approved subject to the various
<br />
