~ESOLUTION 73-75 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING <br />INf~NTION TO VACATE A PO~ON OF PARTC~ <br />BBTW~iN ~ S','~' AND PINE $'.'~,', <br /> <br /> W/~/~S, that portion of Partc~ Street lying between Walnut <br />Street and Pine Street is nD longer necessary for present or prospec- <br />tive street purposes, is presently occupied by a portion of the Santa <br />Aha High School campus and is required for construction of ~aitional <br />buildings on that campus, and the Department of Public Works and the <br />Planning C~t,~.~ssion of the City of Santa Ana have rec~L,~nded that a <br />public hearing be set on the questic~ of vacating said right of way; <br /> <br /> NOW, THErEFOrE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />tb~ City of Santa Aha hereby approves the map attached hereto and <br />orders the s~me filed with the original of this Resolution in the <br />Office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to <br />said map for the exterior bou~amries of the right of way proposed to <br />be vacated; and <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER ~F_k]~LVED: That the City Council hereby de- <br />clares its intention to proceed under the provisions of the Street <br />Vacation Act of 1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California <br />Streets and Highways Code) to vacate that portion of Patton Street <br />between Walnut Street and Pine Street; said right of way proposed to <br />be vacated lies within the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State <br />of California, and is described as: <br /> <br />That portion of the Northeast quarter of Section 13, Township 5 <br />South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M. described as follow~: <br /> <br />That certain porti~ of Parton Street as described in a deed to <br />the City of Santa Ana recorded in Book 416, Page 65 of Deeds, <br />records of Orange County, California bounded Northerly by a lin~ <br />parallel with and distant 40.00 feet Southerly, measured at right <br />angles, frcm the center line of Walnut Street as shown on a map <br />of McFadden and Cranes ~klition to the town of Santa Ana recorded <br />in Book 11, Page 40, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, <br />California, and bounded Southerly by the Easterly prolongation <br />of the North line of P/ne Street as shown on a map of Tract 101 <br />recorded in Book 11, Page 1 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of <br />said orange County. <br /> <br />Reserving for public utilities a 31 foot strip of land, the West- <br />erly line of which is described as follows: <br /> <br />Beginn/ng at a point on said Southerly boundary distant 16.583 <br />feet Westerly f£~, the center line of said Parton Street; thence <br />Northerly along a line parallel with and distant 16.583 feet <br />Westerly, measured at right angles, frcm said center line a dis- <br />tance of 300.00 feet, more er less, to said Northerly boundary. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That August 6, 1973, at the hour <br />of 7:30 p.m. in the Cour~il Chambers, Santa Ana City Hall, 20 Civic <br />Center C~lex, Santa Aha, California, is hereby f/xed as th~ time <br />and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to said <br />proposed street vacation; <br /> <br /> <br />
