Mi~'ahell for the reclassification of property located on <br /> the west side of Bristol Street between Falrview and Wilshire Avenues <br /> beginning at a point approximately 271t north of the northwest corner <br /> of Wilshire Avenue and Bristol Street, and a depth of approximately <br /> 450I, from the R-1 to the Ct2 District; no protests were received. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Dahl and carried, the fol- <br /> lowing Ordi2ance entitled: <br /> <br /> "0rSinanoe amending Article IX of the Santa Ana <br /> Municipal Code creating changes in district <br /> boundaries and adding Sheet No. 53 to the <br /> districting map to show the reclassification't <br /> <br /> was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br /> This being the date set for the hearing on the adoption of the 1955 <br /> Edition o{ ~he Uniform BUilding Code, the Builderts Association <br /> requested that the hearing be contl'nued until the next meeting of the <br /> Council and on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and car- <br /> ried, the request w~s granted. Communication was read from the <br /> Orange County M~ster Roofers Association requesting the adoption of a~ <br /> Ordinance similar to Ordinance No. 608 of the City of Fullerton and oni <br /> motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the com- <br /> munication was received and filed. <br /> <br /> This being the date set for the sale of a lot on the west side of <br /> North Baker Street at Santiago Creek, being approximately 115~ deep <br /> with approximately 157' facing on North Baker Street, the Clerk read <br /> petitions signed by 134 adults and children protesting the sale of <br /> this property. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and <br /> carried, the petitions were received and filed. On motion of Council. <br /> man Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, the one bid was ordered <br /> opened for the purchase of the property as follows: <br /> <br /> John C. Hurley $10,000.00 <br /> Cashiers check 1,000.00 <br /> <br /> The Mayor asked if there were any oral bids and there being no further <br /> bids, it was moved by Councilman Markal, seconded by Jerome and carrie, <br /> that the property be sold to John O. Hurley fbr the sum of $10,000.00. <br /> A tabulation of bids was presented by the Manager for the construction <br /> of the Fire Station on West 17th Street near Olive Street, as follows: <br /> <br /> Wm. D. Greschner $59,203.28 <br /> Bond in the amount of 5% of totsl amount of bid. <br /> <br /> Joseph C. Farmer Co. $69,368.00 <br /> Bond in the amount of 5% of the contract price. <br /> <br /> Gallegos Bros. $69,700.00 <br /> Bond in the amount of 5% of the amount bid. <br /> <br /> Famularo-Stromberg, Inc. $70,999.00 <br /> Bond in the amount of 5% of the amount bid. <br /> <br /> Marvin E. Lawrence $73,495.00 <br /> Bond in the amount of 5% bid but not exceeding $4,000.00. <br /> <br /> Sonnenberg Builders $77,000.00 <br /> Bond in the amount' of 5% of amount bid. <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Jerome, <br /> <br /> seconded by 'Dahl and carried, the bid of Wm.
