A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA UPHOLDING THE DECISION OF THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION AND GRANTING VARIANCE <br />APPLICATION NO. 73-26 FILED BY ORANGE VILLA <br />BIBLE CHURCH <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED: That based upon the Findings of Fact <br />of the Planning Commission, and based on the evidence presented <br />at a public hearing held on August 6, 1973, the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana does hereby grant Variance No. 73-26 filed <br />by the Orange Villa Bible Church, 206 & 220 W. 15th Street, <br />Santa Ana, California, to establish a Boys Republic facility <br />providing treatment, room and board for a maximum of twenty- <br />five (25) adolescent boys, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. That development be according to the approved plot <br />plan, except for minor modifications approved by the Planning <br />Department; <br /> <br />met; <br /> <br />2. That all conditions of the Building Department be <br /> <br /> 3. That a landscape plan be submitted to and approved <br />by the Planning Department, including the provisions of Sec. <br />41-618 of the Zoning Ordinance (prior to issuance of a building <br />permit) and that said landscaping be implemented (prior to <br />utility release) and be continuously maintained; <br /> <br /> 4. That any trash areas be enclosed in accordance with <br />the Planning Department standards; <br /> <br /> 5. That a screening plan <br />appurtenances be submitted to and <br />Department; <br /> <br />for mechanical equipment or <br />approved by the Planning <br /> <br />6. That all conditions of the Fire Department be met; <br /> <br />7. Dedicate required street or alley right of way; <br /> <br />8. Dedicate vehicular access rights; <br /> <br />9. Pay street lighting deposit for future street lights. <br /> <br />The following requirements must also be met; <br /> <br /> 1. That Planning Staff approval be obtained for any <br />future use of the auditorium not directly related to the boy's home; <br /> <br /> 2. This variance shall terminate at the end of a 3-year <br />period and may be renewed as hereinafter provided. The applicant, <br />should he wish an extension of this variance, shall contact the <br />Planning Department several months prior to the expiration of this <br />variance and the Planning Department shall thereafter report to <br />the Planning Commission its findings. If the Planning Commission <br />is satisfied that the terms and conditions of the variance have <br />been met in the past, it may grant an additional 3-year extension <br />of this variance under the same or different terms and conditions <br />except that the period of the variance shall not exceed 3 additional <br />years. <br /> <br /> <br />
