RESOLUTION NO. 73-108 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 73-95 AND <br />UPHOLDING THE DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />AND GRANTING VARIANCE APPLICATION NO. 73-26 FILED <br />BY ORANGE VILLA BIBLE CHURCH <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED: That Resolution 73-95 formerly adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana on August 20, 1973, <br />is hereby rescinded; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That based upon the Findings of <br />Fact of the Planning Commission, and based on the evidence presented <br />at a public hearing held on August 6, 1973, the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana does hereby grant Variance No. 73-26 filed <br />by the Orange Villa Bible Church, 206 & 220 W. 15th Street, <br />Santa Ana, California, to establish a Boys Republic facility <br />providing treatment, room and board for a maximum of twenty- <br />five (25} adolescent boys, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. That development be according to the approved plot <br />plan, except for minor modifications approved by the Planning <br />Department; <br /> <br />2. That all conditions of the Building Department be <br /> <br />met; <br /> <br /> 3. That a landscape plan be submitted to and approved <br />by the Planning Department, including the provisions of Sec. <br />41-618 of the Zoning Ordinance (prior to issuance of a building <br />permit) and that said landscaping be implemented (prior to <br />utility release) and be continuously maintained; <br /> <br /> 4. That any trash areas be enclosed in accordance with <br />the Planning Department standards; <br /> <br /> 5. That a screening plan for mechanical equipment or <br />appurtenances be submitted to and approved by the Planning <br />Department; <br /> <br />6. That all conditions of the Fire Department be met; <br /> <br />7. Dedicate required street or alley right of way; <br /> <br />8. Dedicate vehicular access rights; <br /> <br />9. Pay street lighting deposit for future street lights. <br /> <br />The following requirements must also be met; <br /> <br />future <br />home; <br /> <br />1. That Planning Staff approval be obtained for any <br />use of the auditorium not directly related to the boy's <br /> <br /> 2. This variance shall terminate at the end of a 3 year <br />period, to determine whether or not any problems have arisen due <br />to this operation. The Planning Department shall thereafter report <br />to the Planning Commission, which may grant an additional 3 year <br />extension of this variance under the same conditions or under <br />different conditions, without the necessity of filing an additional <br />application. Any additional 3 year extension of this variance, <br />however, shall be subject to this same condition. <br /> <br /> <br />
