This variance shall terminate at the end of a 3-year period and may be renewed as hereinafter provided. The applicant, should he wish an extension of this variance, shall contact the Planning Department several months prior to the expiration of this variance and the Planning Department shall thereafter report to the Planning Commission its findings. If the Planning Commission is satisfied that the terms and conditions of the variance have been met in the past, it may grant an additional 3-year extension of this variance under the same or different terms and conditions except that the period of the variance shall not exceed 3 additional years.
