RESOLUTION NO. 73-109 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA RESCINDING RESOLUTION 73-96 AND <br />UPHOLDING THE DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />AND GRANTING VARIANCE APPLICATION NO. 73-32 FILED <br />BY MAURINE T. SUTTON <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED: That Resolution 73-96 formerly adopted <br />by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana on August 20, 1973, <br />is hereby rescinded; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That based upon the Findings of <br />Fact of the Planning Commission, and the evidence presented at <br />a public hearing held August 6, 1973, the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana does hereby grant Variance No. 73-32 <br />filed by Maurine T. Sutton, 2211 E. First Street, Santa Aha, <br />California, to remodel and use an existing motel as a half-way <br />house for a maximum of 88 former mental patients and to provide <br />25 offstreet parking spaces, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. That development be according to the approved plot <br />plan, except for minor modifications approved by the Planning <br />Department; <br /> <br />2. That all conditions of the Building Department be <br /> <br />met; <br /> <br /> 3. That a landscape plan be submitted to and approved <br />by the Planning Department, including the provisions of Section <br />41-618 of the Zoning Ordinance (prior to issuance of a building <br />permit) and that said landscaping be implemented (prior to <br />utility release) and be continuously maintained; <br /> <br /> 4. That any trash areas be enclosed in accordance with <br />the Planning Department standards; <br /> <br />5. That all conditions of the Fire Department be met; <br /> <br />6. Pay street lighting deposit for future street lights; <br /> <br />7. Pay street tree charges; <br /> <br />8. Construct necessary street improvements: <br /> <br />a. Tree wells <br /> <br />The following requirements must also be met: <br /> <br /> 1. That a block wall or opaque fencing 6' in height <br />be maintained around the entire perimeter of the subject property <br />except for the front driveway area & no interior fencing be <br />permitted on the grounds for the subject property except for the <br />swimming pool area; <br /> <br /> 2. That the stoves be removed and the gas pipes be capped <br />in the kitchens of the 44 units which are to be used exclusively <br />for residential purposes. Pipes are to be capped within the walls, <br />and the walls replastered and painted; <br /> <br /> <br />
