On motion of Ccuncilman Jerome, seconded by Datf <br /> and carried~ said documents were received and filed. <br /> <br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution <br /> entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 56-29 giving notice of proposed annexation to the <br /> City of Santa Aha of that certain uninhabited territory described <br /> herein and designated 'Eighth at King Annex' and giving notice of <br /> time and place for hearing of protests thereto" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Chandler <br /> Noes, Councilmen None <br /> Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Ordinance, on motion of <br /> <br />Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance No. NS-156 declaring the annexation of that certain <br /> territory designated 'Rose Annex'" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Ogden Markel <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />Dick Carter, ~07 West 15th Street, requested delay on the adoption of the Ordinance., <br />providing for the issuance of special all night street parking permits, stating that <br />in many areas of the City apartment buildingsdo not have sufficient garages and it i <br />impossible to rent garages in the immediate neighborhood. The Manager explained <br />that the permit fee is the only solution to getting the people to move their cars <br />off the street and in many cases ca~s are~ parked on the street overnight although <br />garages or driveways are available. The Council having unanimously waived the <br />reading of the Ordinance, on motion of Councilmau Heinly, seconded by Markel and <br />carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance No. NS-158 amending Section 3211 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br /> Code to provide for the issuance of special all night street parking <br /> permits" <br /> <br /> <br />
