RESOLUTION NO. 73-146 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 73-140 AND APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING INTENTION TO ABANDON ALLEY LOCATED NORTH OF FRUIT STREET BETWEEN FRUIT STREET AND SANTA ANA BOULEVARD APPROXIMATELY 125 FEET WEST OF LINCOLN AVENUE WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works and the Planning Commission have recommended a public hearing be set on the question of said abandonment, a request for the abandonment of an alley located north of Fruit Street between Fruit Street and Santa Ana Boulevard approximately 125 feet west of Lincoln Avenue has been received by the City Council. WHEREAS, the City Council has previously adopted Resolution No. 73-140 approving map and declaring intention to abandon alley located north of Fruit Street between Fruit Street and Santa Ana Boulevard approximately 125 feet west of Lincoln Avenue; and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works has deemed it essen- tial to the health, safety and welfare that vehicular access rights across the northerly line of the above described property be retained by theCity of Santa Ana. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That Resolution No. 73-140 is hereby repealed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby approves the map attached hereto and orders the same filed with the original of this Resolution in the Office of the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map for the exterior boundaries for said right of way proposed to be abandoned. The City Council declares its intention to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941 (Section 8300 - 8374 of the California Streets and Highways Code) to abandon that alley located north of Fruit Street between Fruit Street and Santa Ana Boulevard approximately 125 feet west of Lincoln Avenue, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: That portion of the alley in Block "E" of Hawkins Addition, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in book 13 page 26 of Miscellaneous Records, in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California, bounded Northerly by a line parallel with and distant 52.00 feet Southeasterly, mea- sured at right angles, from a line described as having a bearing and dis- tance of South 64° 18" 01" West 1421.66 feet in a deed to the City of Santa Ana, recorded December 17, 1968, in Book 8818 page 197 of Official Records and bounded Southerly by the Westerly prolongation of the Southerly line of Lot 17 of said Block "E".
