RESOLUTION NO. 73-151 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said regulations go far beyond any possible <br />air pollution control plan envisioned by the United States <br />Congress and further constitutes an infringement of the <br />rights of the citizens of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br /> 1. That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />register its strong opposition to the said EPA regulations. <br /> <br /> 2. That President Richard M. Nixon and all members of <br />the Santa Ana City Council be urged to take all appropriate <br />steps which will effectively procure the repeal of said <br />regulations. <br /> <br /> 3. That both Mr. Russell E. Train, Administrator, and Mr. <br />Paul de Falco, Regional Administrator of the EPA, be urged <br />to rescind said regulations. <br /> <br /> 4. That all other public officials, both at the state <br />and national level, be urged to oppose said regulations. <br /> <br /> 5. That the staff of the City of Santa Ana in concert <br />with the staff of other South Coast Air Basin communities <br />work to develop an alternative plan to achieve clean air. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana at its adjourned regular meeting held on the <br /> 10th day of December , 1973. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />
