RESOLUTION NO. 74-5 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Council chooses to <br />execute the power provided in Section 421 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Charter and hereby authorizes the City Manager to <br />bind the City on contracts in writing without advertising and <br />without previous approval by the city council of each specific <br />item for the payment of charges for supplies, labor, or other <br />valuable consideration to be furnished the city, in amounts <br />not exceeding two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) in any one <br />contract. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That for the purpose of this <br />resolution the term "officer of the city" shall mean only <br />the following: City Manager, City Attorney, Clerk of the <br />Council, Assistant City Manager, Assistants to the City Mana- <br />ger and the heads of each of the following departments: <br />Bowers Museum, Building Safety and Housing, Equipment Mainte- <br />nance, Finance, Fire, Library, Personnel, Planning, Police, <br />Public Works and Recreation and Parks. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ~DOPTED by the City Council cf the City <br />of Santa Ana at its regular meeting held on the 7 <br />day of January , 1974. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
