<br />commmmication was read from Attorney C. Ar'Umr Nisson, Jr., advising of the proposed
<br />annexation to the City of Tustln of property designated "Pankey ~n~xation", togethe
<br />with copy of Resolution setting forth the ~ity's intention to an~x this territory.
<br />On motion of Counc~lm-~ Je~, seconded by D-h1 and carried, the ccemmmication
<br />Resolution were received, filed and Clerk instructed to forward a letter to Mr.
<br />Nisson advising that the Council has no objection to the aunexation.
<br />
<br />On motion of Oouncilman Dehl, seconded by Jerom~ and carried, the written rec~nd-
<br />atlon of the Manager, dated March 15, 1956, setting forth salary step increases for
<br />fourteen employes, effective April 1st, 1956 and one employee, effective March 1st,
<br />1956, was received, filed and approved.

<br />The Council having ,,---1m~usly waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councils-- Nei-ly, seconded by Jeruz~ and carried, the following Resolution
<br />entitled:

<br />establishing a green zone on the north si~ of Edinger Street, between Main and
<br />Syc-m~re Streets, was considered and possed by the following vote:

<br />On motion of councilman Dahl, seconded by M~rk~l an~ carried, the following Or~imanc

<br />was introduced, considmre~ --& placed on file for second reading.

<br />On recommendation of the c.'~m~fttee and on motion of Councilman Dehl, secondmd by
<br />Jerome and carried, the request of Albert N. Eantorff for a limited pal'king ZOne
<br />or a sign, in. front of his place of business at 1511 West Fifth Street, was denied.
<br />On ree~mwa~ndation of the committee an~ on motion of Councilman D-h1, seconded by
<br />Jerome and carried, the request of M. E. Groff for a twenty-four minute parking
<br />zone or sign, in front of his place of business at 1139 West 17th Street, was denied
<br />The Council having ,,---1mously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of

<br />and Sixth Streets, was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />On motion of Counc~lm-~ Je~, seconded by Dahl and carried, proper officials were
<br />authorized to e~cute agreement dated March 19, 1956, with The Atchison, Topeka and
<br />Santa Fe Railway Ccmpany for the inst-~ 1 ration of two Standard No. 8 flashing light
<br />signals at the First Street crossing, and r~mov.i~g the existing wigwag signals at
<br />said crossing.
