<br />The Manager reported that a new position has been created under the class title of

<br />Administrative Assistant, at a salary of $450.00 per month. The Council having

<br />unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman

<br />seconded by Heinly end carried, the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br />"Resolution No. 56-185 fixing the salary of regular City employees
<br />not covered by salary schedules"
<br />
<br />was considered, with the restriction that the position of AMmfnistrative Assistant
<br />
<br />is temporary and sba!l not continue for a period of more than four months, effective
<br />
<br />July 1st, 1956, and passed by the following vote:

<br />Santa Aha Municipal Code regarding water service"
<br />

<br />On motion of Counci!men Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, Map of Tract No.
<br />
<br />2980 submitted by Lee Seivers for the dedication of King Street, Ninth Street,
<br />
<br />Tenth Street, Fairway, T~wengo Place, Lot "A" and Lot "B", and bond in the amount
<br />
<br />of $43,000.00 were approved, license payment fee in the sum of $2200.00 accepted
<br />
<br />and the agreement covering improvements was ordered signed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by ~arkel and carried, the plans and
<br />
<br />specifications were approved for the construction of a brick and concrete work
<br />
<br />room addition to the Bowers Memorial Museum and the Purchasing Agent authorized to
<br />
<br />advertise for bids to be opened July 16th, 1956.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, the plans and
<br />
<br />specifications were approved for the construction of the crew and dispatching
<br />
<br />building at the Corporation Yard on Delhi Road, and the Purchasing Agent authorized
<br />
<br />to advertise for bids to be opened July 2nd, 1956.
<br />
<br />On motion of Counc~lm~n Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, the communication
<br />
<br />from Esther M. Evans expressing appreciation for the adoption of the amendment to
<br />
<br />the Retirement Act, was received and filed.

<br />On motion of Councilman Reiuly, seconded by Markel and carried, the communication
<br />
<br />from the League of United Latin American Citizens expressing thanks for the favor-
<br /> on the petition
<br />able response given the people in the Delhi area/for the improvements of the
<br />
<br />streets, was received and filed.
