<br />On motion of Councilmau Heinly, seconded by ~bl and carried, th~ authorization of

<br />the amendments to the 1955-56 Budget was approved..
<br />
<br />The Manager reported that quotations were received from three accounting firms for
<br />
<br />auditing services for the fiscal year 1956-57 and recommended that the proposal of
<br />
<br />Dlehl, Evans and Company be accepted. On recommendation of the Manager and on
<br />
<br />motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, proper officials were
<br />
<br />authorized to execute agreement dated July 16th, 1956, with Diehl, Evans and Company.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilmau Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the written recommend-
<br />
<br />ation of the Manager, dated June 22, 1956, setting forth salary step increases for
<br />
<br />six employees, was received, filed and approved.
<br />
<br />It was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried,
<br />
<br />that action be
<br />
<br />deferred until the next meeting on the request of Knox Cleaners, 702 South Main
<br />
<br />Street, for two 12-minute parking zones.
<br />
<br />It was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, that action be
<br />
<br />deferred until the next meeting on the request of Armet & Davis, on behalf of
<br />
<br />Y%~nmies Restaurant, for two thirty-foot approaches at 17th and Bristol Streets.
<br />
<br />On recon~mendation of the Mannger and on motion of Councilman Dab_l, seconded by
<br />
<br />Heinly and carried, the request of Jezowski & Markel, on behalf of Todd's Dairy,
<br />
<br />2731 Halladay Street, to construct a 35 foot driveway approach to be located approx-
<br />
<br />imately 150 feet north of Dyer Road, was granted.
<br />
<br />It was moved by Councilman Heimly, seconded by Dahl and carried, that action be
<br />
<br />deferred until the next meeting on the request of Toastmasters International regard-
<br />
<br />ing renewal of lease at the Community Center.
