~ ~n~^~ 75- t~5~ <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74-109 ~° I~i~ <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH~'E ~U ~ <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA FIXING THE SALARY OF <br />THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, similarly to all other salaries, those of City <br />Managers have continued to increase over the years throughout <br />the State of California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Santa Ana is of <br />a caliber to warrant payment of a salary equal to or above the <br />prevailing rate in the State for similar positions in cities <br />of comparable size; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the salary <br />of the City Manager should be increased to bring it into the <br />range of currently prevalent salaries for City Managers of cities <br />of comparable size; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the <br />position of City Manager of the City of Santa <br />is hereby fixed and established at $ 2,500.00 <br /> <br />salary for the <br />Ana, California, <br /> per month. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said salary shall be paid <br />in the same manner and at the same time as other monthly <br />salaries in the City are paid, and that said new salary rate <br />shall take effect and be paid from July 1, 1974. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in addition to the aforesaid <br />salary, the City Manager shall receive the following benefits <br />in like manner and amount as have been approved for all Depart- <br />ment Heads: <br /> <br /> 1. Effective July 1, 1974, a group life insurance policy <br />in the amount of $10,000, with double indemnity. <br /> <br /> 2. Effective July 1, 1974, the City, as employer, will <br />contribute $12.00 per month toward the purchase of a dental <br />insurance plan for the City Manager and his (her) dependents. <br />Said sum shall be the total cost paid by the City toward such <br />coverage. In the event the premium cost shall exceed $12.00 <br />per month, the additional cost shall be borne entirely by the <br />City Manager. Effective July 1, 1975, the City will contribute <br />an additional amount, not exceeding $2.00 per month for the <br />dental insurance plan. <br /> <br /> 3. Effective April 1, 1976, the City, as employer, will <br />contribute $4.00 per month toward the purchase of a long-term <br />disability Income Protection Plan for the City Manager. In <br />the event the premium cost exceeds $4.00 per month, the City <br />Manager will bear such additional cost. <br /> <br /> 4. Any other compensation benefits payable to all <br />Department Heads, effective on the dates such benefits are <br />payable to same Department Heads. <br /> <br /> <br />
