<br />Counc~lma- Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled

<br />"Ordinance No. NS-197 of the City of Santa Aha, California, fixing
<br />the amount of money ascertained to carry on the various depar~nts
<br />of the City of Santa Aha, to pay the bonded indebtedness falling due,
<br />for the current y~ar 1956-1957, fixing the rate of taxation for the
<br />current y~ar 1956-1957, and designating the number of cents on each
<br />$100.00 for the various funds of said City and hereby levied on the
<br />whole of the taxable property of said City"

<br />accepted.

<br />Councilman Heinly disq,,~ ified himself on the variance application of Mission Pipe
<br />
<br />end Supply Cc~pany. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Markel and car-
<br />
<br />ried, the rec0~maendation of the Planning Co.~f ssion was approved and the variance
<br />
<br />of Mission Pipe and Supply Compauy granted to permit the use of vacant lot located
<br />
<br />at the south end of Poinsettia Street on the east side, for continuation and ex-
<br />
<br />pansion of existing wholesale and retail heating and plumbing firm adjoining sub-
<br />Department of Public Works.
<br />Ject property on the east side, subject to conditions.of the Planning Commission.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerc~e and carried, the recommendation
<br />
<br />of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance of Harold Gimeno approved
<br />
<br />to permit construction of an office building on property at 14OO North Sycamore
<br />
<br />Street, subject to cond~t.ie~ the Planning Commission.
<br />
<br />It was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by Heinly and carried, that action on
<br />
<br />Variance Applications Nos. 810 and 811, of Ivon W. MacFarlane, be deferx=d until
<br />
<br />the next regular meeting.

<br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the reco~endation
<br />
<br />of the Planning Commission was approved and the variance of Richfield Oil Company
<br />
<br />
