Ogden Markel, William Jerome, <br /> Milford W. Dahl, Courtney R. C~andler <br />Noes, Councilmen Dale H. Reinly <br />Absent, Counc~ ~n None <br /> <br />Protests were read from Mrs. Anna S. Hockaday, owner of a lot on the west side of <br />Bush Street being the third lot south of 16th Street, for the weed assessment charg <br />of $12.00; from Iva Carl for cleaning a lot 44' x 100' located at the northeast <br />corner of West Pine and South Ross Streets, billed for $4B.20, and from J.C.Greuerd~ <br />2024 W. Eighth Street, for cleaning a lot 50' x 60', in the amount of $24.00, and o: <br />motion of Councilm~n Je~, seconded by Markel and carried, the protests were <br />received and filed. Walter C. Collins verbally protested the weed cleaning charge <br />of $72.00 on two pieces of properties located on the north and south sides of East <br />Sixth Street and described as a portion of Section 7, Township 5, Range 9. It was <br /> Cou~ci 1 <br />mOved by~Heinly that an adjustment be made in the weed assessment bill of Iva C~rl <br /> <br />to the extent of 50~, or $21.00. Motion lost for lack of a second. Croddy requested approval to B~ banners in the downtown district <br /> <br />advertising the Or~e County Fair, for the period August 3rd to August 2Otb. It <br /> <br />was moved by Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, that permission be <br /> <br />granted to hang the banners for the period August 3rd to August 13th on condition <br /> <br />that the banners be removed by Mcm~aynoon, AUgUst 1~th,.1956. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dab1, seconded by Re~n~y and carried, the following Ordinan¢ <br /> <br />entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance establishing, the compensation to be paid to members <br />of the Pl~ing 6?mm~ssion" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reszling. <br /> <br />COanC~m~ Ne~y dis~,~il~ied himself on the amendment applicatiom of William H. <br />~llen, Jr. The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the 0rd~-ee, on <br />motion of Councf~m~ Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance <br />entitled: <br /> <br />"Ordinance No. NS-198 amending A~ticle IX of the Santa Aha ~m~cipal <br /> Code creating changes in district boundaries and amending Sheet No. <br /> 9 of the districting map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br />of a tria~zlar-shaped parcel of property located on the south side of Grace Street <br />approximately 120' west of Linwood Avenue, and bounded on the southwest by East <br /> <br /> <br />
