C~endler Noes, Counc~ !m~n None Absent, Councilmen None The Manager reported he had an oral request from the Chamber of C~mmerce, on behalf of the Downtown Merchauts, for permission to hang six banners, three each way from Fourth and Main Streets, from August 13th to August 20th, to advertise "Dollar D~y" and on ~tion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the request was granted. On report of the ~raffic ~ngineer the Manager recommended denial of the request of the ~hamber of Commerce that anti-litter law w~rning signs be erected, within the City limits or Just below or above the City l~m~t signs. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by D~M1 and carried, the rec~ndations were approved and the re- quest denied. On recc~m~ndation of the Manager en~ on motion of Coancilman D~bl, seconded by Heinly and c~ried, the request of seventeen residents on Cypress Avenue between Walnut and Pine Streets, for a two-hour parking limit, was denied. On rec~ndation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Mark~l and caxTied, the request of Enox Cleaners, 702 South Main Street, for two 12-minute parking zones, was denied. The Manager orally reported on the request of M~s. D~an 0. Reidt, 2437 South Shelton Street, that the residents in the "Color~m~ Hom~s Tract" on South Shelton Street be permitted to use the vehicle ramps to enter and exit frc~ South Shelton Street to Delhi Road and stated that the residents now have access to use the vehicle ramps, as requested. The Nauager requested that a footage charg~ of $3.00 per front foot on each side of abutting property be established for connection on the McClay Street sewer line. On reccemendation of the Manager ~nd on motion of Counc~m~ Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the footage charge was established. On recc~,nendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman D~I, seconded by Marke and carried, the request of Armet & Davis, on behalf of y,,,mtes Restaurant, for two oversize approaches at 17th and Bristol Streets, was granted. On recommendation of the M~n~ger and on motion of Counci1~ Dahl, seconded by Jerem and carried, the request of 01son Brothers, ll20 West Highland Avenue, for a 56 foo~t driveway, was denied. The Council having ~man.imously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 56-219 concerning parking limitations and curb markings in accor~ence therewith" removing a white zone on the north side of Sixth Street between Birch Street and Broadway and establishing a yellow zone on the north side of Sixth Street between oral Birch Street and Broadway, reference/request of The County Testing Bureau, was con- sidersd and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Chandler Noes, Councilmen None Absent, Councilmen None The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of Councl2m-n De.hl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution No. 56-220 concerning parking limit~tions and curb markings in accordance therewith"
