C~endler <br />Noes, Counc~ !m~n None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />The Manager reported he had an oral request from the Chamber of C~mmerce, on behalf <br />of the Downtown Merchauts, for permission to hang six banners, three each way from <br />Fourth and Main Streets, from August 13th to August 20th, to advertise "Dollar D~y" <br />and on ~tion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the request was <br />granted. <br /> <br />On report of the ~raffic ~ngineer the Manager recommended denial of the request of <br />the ~hamber of Commerce that anti-litter law w~rning signs be erected, within the <br />City limits or Just below or above the City l~m~t signs. On motion of Councilman <br />Jerome, seconded by D~M1 and carried, the rec~ndations were approved and the re- <br />quest denied. <br /> <br />On recc~m~ndation of the Manager en~ on motion of Coancilman D~bl, seconded by <br />Heinly and c~ried, the request of seventeen residents on Cypress Avenue between <br />Walnut and Pine Streets, for a two-hour parking limit, was denied. <br /> <br />On rec~ndation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by <br />Mark~l and caxTied, the request of Enox Cleaners, 702 South Main Street, for two <br />12-minute parking zones, was denied. <br /> <br />The Manager orally reported on the request of M~s. D~an 0. Reidt, 2437 South Shelton <br />Street, that the residents in the "Color~m~ Hom~s Tract" on South Shelton Street be <br />permitted to use the vehicle ramps to enter and exit frc~ South Shelton Street to <br />Delhi Road and stated that the residents now have access to use the vehicle ramps, <br />as requested. <br /> <br />The Nauager requested that a footage charg~ of $3.00 per front foot on each side of <br />abutting property be established for connection on the McClay Street sewer line. <br /> <br />On reccemendation of the Manager ~nd on motion of Counc~m~ Dahl, seconded by <br />Jerome and carried, the footage charge was established. <br /> <br />On recc~,nendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman D~I, seconded by Marke <br />and carried, the request of Armet & Davis, on behalf of y,,,mtes Restaurant, for two <br />oversize approaches at 17th and Bristol Streets, was granted. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the M~n~ger and on motion of Counci1~ Dahl, seconded by Jerem <br />and carried, the request of 01son Brothers, ll20 West Highland Avenue, for a 56 foo~t <br />driveway, was denied. <br /> <br />The Council having ~man.imously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 56-219 concerning parking limitations and curb <br /> markings in accor~ence therewith" <br /> <br />removing a white zone on the north side of Sixth Street between Birch Street and <br /> <br />Broadway and establishing a yellow zone on the north side of Sixth Street between <br /> oral <br />Birch Street and Broadway, reference/request of The County Testing Bureau, was con- <br /> <br />sidersd and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Dale H.
