We hope to continue to have a measure' of effectiveness by the <br />documentation of the design, development, imple~entation, and <br />use of intelligence evaluation system for the purpose of <br />assessing the effectiveness of the Narcotics Task Force within the <br />County of Orange. <br /> <br />C. Arrests - Conviction Ratio <br /> <br />1. Impact - The Task Force will continue to attempt, through training <br /> and increased equipment availability to increase both the number of <br /> arrests pertaining to drug violatlons and the eventual conviction <br /> of the violator(s), within the county. <br /> <br />2. Result - Reducing the number of drug traffickers on the street, <br /> by obtaininE convictions of criminal =barges, will reduce the <br /> availability of drugs. <br /> <br />Coordination & Cooper'alton <br /> <br />Impact - The. Task Force will continue to maintain and improve the <br />existin~ coordination and cooperation between enforcement agencies <br />workiu~ within the county. <br /> <br />Result - The results of improved coordination and cooperation are <br />obvious. It is imperative that the l~w enforcement agencies exchange <br />information and work together in order to achieve the stated <br />objectives of this grant. <br /> <br />E. Cooperate with Health Care Delivery Services <br /> <br />Impact - Task Force members whenever possible cooperate fully <br />with area health care services in regard to referral and notification <br />of the service organizations. <br /> <br />Result - It is hoped that recidivism will be reduced by this <br />cooperation and the violators will be able to return to society <br />as productive citizens. <br /> <br />F, Narcotics Enforcement Training Program <br /> <br />1. Impact - The Ta~k Force Analyst has attended the Intelligence <br /> Analysis and Collectors Schools, in order to receive necessary <br /> specialized training to better qualify him to perform his function. <br /> Six members of the Tas~Force have completed the two-week Narcotic <br /> Officers School in a~cordance with the first year grant. They <br /> in turn are training their personnel, while on the Job, in the new <br /> methodology and techniques learned at the Institute. <br /> <br />2. Result - As a result of this intensive specialized training, the <br /> members of the Task Force will be better able to perform their <br /> functions within the Task Force, and this will impact on many objectives <br /> of this grant. For example,' they will be able to improve the quality <br /> of arrests and convictions pertaining to drug violations, while the <br /> Analyst and Coordinator will be able to perform their very specialized <br /> tasks. <br /> <br />18b <br /> <br /> <br />
