Purpose- To standardize the method of evaluating computer based systems <br />during th~Post Implementation Review phase. <br /> <br />2. Scope- This procedure is applicable to all departments involved in the <br />development of computer based systems. <br /> <br />3. Responsibility - It is the responsibility of each department involved:' <br />to ascertain the effecti?&ness and efficiency of their portion ofthe <br />computer based system. Data Services will coordinate and publish the <br />results of,the evaluation. <br /> <br />4..,Preparation - <br /> <br /> 4.1 Forms - Th~'System Proposal Package', and ali'other development <br /> docume-'~'~'~ion (including operating procedures, etc.). <br /> <br /> 4.2 Functional Task - A-2~. <br /> <br />4.3 Pro,cedure - <br /> <br />4.3.1"~yaluate System - The following minimum <br />criteria ~.~ill be used in evaluating the system <br />(within the framework of the plan published under <br />Procedure No. 6.03.01}: <br /> <br />,Functional Task <br /> <br />4.3.1.1 A definition of.the systems's original <br />objectives (contained in the Proposal Package), <br />and an evaluation of how well the system accom- <br />plishes those objectives. <br /> <br />'&.3.1.1.1 Have changing management goals, <br />objectives, and problems been effectively <br />translated into revised systems requirements <br />and inc~poTated as modifications tO the system? <br /> <br />4.3.1.1.2 Have anticipated savings or other <br />benefits been fully achieved?. <br /> <br />4.3,1.1.3 Have original system objectives <br />been undesirably compromised in an attempt <br />to satisfy other objectives the system was not <br />designed .to encompass? .t <br /> <br /> <br />
