On motion of Councilman Dsbl, seconded by Markel and carried <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br /> creating changes in district boundaries and amending Sheets Nos. <br /> i and 2 of the districting map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing and no protests having been received, the amend <br />ment application initiated by the Planning Commission was considered for the re- <br />classification of property within the area bounded by Bush Street, Washington <br />Avenue, the Southern Pacific Railroad right-of-way, and the south side of C-1 zone <br />on 17th Street, from the R-2 to the R-3 District. On motion of COuncilman D~h~ ! <br />seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance amending Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br /> creating changes in district boundaries and amending Sheets <br /> Nos. i and 2 of the districting map to show the reclassification" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the City qf certain <br />uninhabited territory designated "Segerstrom Annex No. 2", and the~e being no <br />protests, on motion of Councilman Dehl, seconded by Markel and carried, the follow- <br />lng Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain terrStory <br /> designated 'Segerstrom Annex No. 2'" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second.reading. <br /> <br />This being the date set for hearing protests on annexation to the CitY of certain <br />uninhabited territory designated "South Standard Annex", and there being no <br />communication was read from Southwestern Valve Corporation favoring the ~nnexation. <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Dahl and carried, the communication was <br />received and filed. On motion of Councilm~u Markel, seconded by D~b~ and carried, <br />the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory <br /> designated 'South Standard Annex'" <br /> <br />was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading. <br /> <br />A tabulation of bids was presented by the Manager for the widening of Bristol <br />Street from Pine Street to 17th Street, including portions of Walnut Street and <br /> <br />Street, as follows: <br /> <br />Griffith Company <br />R.J.Noble Company <br />Sully-Miller Contracting Co. <br /> <br />Total price <br />Total price <br />Total price <br /> <br />141,037.60 <br />129,235.00 <br />122,999.30 <br /> <br />$15,000 bond <br />10% bond submitted. <br />$14,000 certified <br />check submitted. <br /> <br /> On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by <br /> ~&~rkel and carried, the bid of Sully-Miller Contracting Company, at the total price <br /> of $122,999.30 was accepted and all other bids rejected. <br /> <br /> A tabulation of bids was presented by the Manager for the surfacing of Delhi Cit~ <br /> Yard, as follows: <br /> <br /> S~ ~ y-Miller Contracti~g Co. Total price $ 13,490.00 <br /> $1,400.00 certified check submitted. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by <br />Markel and carried, the bid of Sully-Miller Contracting Company, at the total price <br />of $13,490.00 was accepted. <br /> <br /> <br />
