<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />
<br />Councilman Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution entitled
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 56-2~0 declaring interest in certain property
<br /> owned by the County of Orange and requesting that said property
<br /> be sold to the City of Santa Ana, California"
<br />
<br />for the extension of Santingo Park easterly, was considered and passed by the fol-
<br />
<br />lowing vote:

<br />Councilman Dahl, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:

<br /> "Ordinance No. NS-204 adding Section No. 3813 to the Santa Ana
<br /> Municipal Code to prohibit the use of public streets for display
<br /> or storage of merchandise"
<br />
<br />was considered and passed by the following vote:

<br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Neinly and carried, the Record of
<br />Survey Map submitted by Hardie Manufacturing Company, owner of~roperty located on
<br />Dyer Road, 165' from the center line of Harbor Road, and bond in the sum of $2500.0(
<br />were approved and proper officials authorized to execute agreement covering improve.
<br />ments.

<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and carried, the Record of
<br />Survey Map submitted by Otto Waldman, owner of one lot located on the west side of
<br />Westwood Avenue, just north of Eighth Street, was approved and license fee of $50.0(
<br />accepted.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by D~] and carried, the communication fro~
<br />the Chamber of Commerce urging that provision be made to replace or replant the
<br />cocos plumosa trees on North ttain Street when the street is widened, and suggestin[
<br />that trees should be planted on South Main Street and on North Bristol Street, was
<br />received and filed. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Heinly and car-
<br />ried, a copy of the communication was ordered mailed to the Board of Recreation
<br />Parks.

<br />On motion of Councilman Dab_l, seconded by Heinly and carried, the communication fro~
<br />the County Clerk submitting "Notice of filing of notice of intention to circulate
<br />a petition seeking the incorporation of a new City", to be known as "Tri-City", was
<br />received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by F~inly and carried, proper officials were
<br />authorized to execute agreement dated Septamber ~th, 1956, with the Chamber of
<br />Commerce, for advertising purposes.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the communication
<br />from the Bouo~ry Commission reference proposed annexation of territory to the City
<br />of Costa Mesa, designated "Bristol No. i Annexation", located south of Paularino
<br />Avenue, west of Newport Road and east of Babb Street, was received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the cnmmunication
<br />from Lewis E. Mantonya, District and Section~l Director, Little League Baseball
<br />Inc., extending thanks for the support and cooperation by City officials during the
<br />Little League Baseball District and Sectional Tournaments at the Municipal Bowl, wa:
<br />received and filed.
