POLICIES <br /> <br /> · Where possible, City scenic corridors should connect to <br />surrounding municipalities scenic corridors to form a linked <br />system. <br /> <br /> · The scenic corridor system should be linked, when possible <br />to parks, bicycle trails, historical sites, greenbelts and <br />other recreation-open space areas. <br /> <br />· The'City shall seek all available State and Federal <br />financing assistance to implement the Scenic Corridors Plan. <br /> <br /> · Plans for scenic corridors shall be integrated with bicycle <br />trails plans and circulation plans for the City. <br /> <br /> · Scenic corridors shall be designed to maximize the com- <br />patible multi-purpose objectives of open space and circulation <br />planning. <br /> <br /> · A scenic corridors program shall make use of a full range <br />of methods for managing land uses compatible with scenic <br />enhancement in an urban environment. <br /> <br /> · The improv'ement of all arterial streets within the City <br />shall consider the Provision of scenic amenities such as bicycle <br />paths, landscaped setbacks, and aesthetically pleasing fences, <br />walls and other ba=riers. <br /> <br /> · The City shall continue to support and implement the City's <br /> street tree planting program. <br /> <br /> <br />
