Specific Standards <br /> <br /> Entrance Points <br /> <br /> · An entrance point or entryway into the City may con- <br />stitute a continuous treatment along the street or entry point, <br />not merely a single sign. <br /> <br /> · Entrance point should b~ identified with a specific <br />treatment to create an awareness of entrance to the City. <br /> <br /> Arterial Streets <br /> <br /> · Co~ercial, residential and other uses permitted along <br />arterial streets shall be approved after full evaluation of the <br />above listed controls for scenic amenities and review of the <br />proposed design for scenic quality. <br /> <br /> · Emphasis for select arterial streets shall be to improve <br />the visual impact through increased buffering, landscaping, <br />effective architectural controls and reduction in signing. <br /> <br /> · The improvement of new arterials shall include provision <br />for a landscaped setback between sidewalk and fences, walls or <br />other barriers.
