Council Chamber Santa Aha City w,l 1 November 5, 1956. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting cslled to order by the Vice-Mayor. Present: Councilmen Dale E. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, WLLliam Je~. Absent: Cotmci~en M/.l~ord W. Dahl Each ~her of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of October 15th, 1956, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Neinly, seconded by Markel and carried. Hearing Planning Co~nission initiated amendment Ordinance (West side Bush fram 100' Nc.of 6th St. to rear of C-1 ~ont/~_;on 17th St. ) This being the date set for hearing and no protests having been received, the amendment application initiated by 'the P]-nn~ng O-...-~ssion was considered for the reclassification of property located on the west side of Bush Street from 100 feet north of Sixth Street to the rear of C-1 zoning on 17th Street, and the east side of Bush Street frc~ 100 feet north of Sixth Street to Washington Avenue, f~-um the R-2 and R-3 Districts to the P-PK District. On motion of Councilm~ Neinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Or~!nance entitled: "Ord~ne~ce amending Article IX of the Santa Ana Municipal Code creating changes in districtboundaries, and emending Sheets No. 2 and B of the Districting Map to show the reclassification" Planning Co-~ssion initiated amendment (So.side 2nd St. and Nc.side Walnut St.) ~¥/ was introduced, considered and placed on file for second read~. This being the date set for hearing and no protests having been received, the amendment application initiated by the pl,nn~g ~=~$sion was considered for the reclassification of property located on the south side of Second Street and the north side of Walnut Street from Artesia Street to Birch Street, from the R-2 and R-3 Districts to P-PK District, and to modify the existing C-1 and C-2 Districts by adding PK thereto. Nearing declared Hearing Planning C~mm~ssion initiated amendment (Nc.side W~l~ut from Maple to Ce~w) Ordinance ~/ closed. This being the date set for hearing and no protests having been received, the amen~-~ut application initiated by the Planning Cn...t ~sion was considered for the reclassification property located on the north side of Waln,~t Street, frc~ Maple Avenue to Cedar Street, frc~ the R-3 to P-PK District. On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Neinly and carried, the followt~ Ordinance entitled: "Ord/~-ce ~ndingArticle IX of the Santa AnaMunicipal Code cre~ting changes in d/strict botw~eries, and a-~mdtng Sheets No. 4 and 7 of the DistrictAng Map to show the reclassification" was introduced, considered and placed on file for second reading.
