Pearson et ux <br /> <br /> This being the date set for hearing and no protests hav~g been received, the amendment <br /> appIication initiated by the Planning C~m~ission was considered for the reclassification <br /> of property located on both sides of Bristol Street, to a depth of 150 feet, from Santa <br /> Clara Avenue to Delhi Road, from R-1 to R-2 District, except between Fifth and Walnut <br /> Streets, where it is proposed to reclassify the property from R-2 to C-1-PK District, a~ <br /> modify the existing C-2 District by adding PK thereto. On motion of COUllc!lm~ N~rk~l, <br /> seconded by Heinly and carried, the amendment application was referred back to the Plamu!mg <br /> ¢.:,.,~dssion to determine more specifically the areas to be designated for the particular <br /> district. <br /> <br /> This being the date set for hearing and no protests having been received, the amendment <br /> was considered <br /> application of Nathan Rubaloff, et al,_/for the reclassification of two properties <br /> located at the northwest and southwest corners at the intersection of Walnut and Bristol <br /> Streets, with 145 feet fronting on Bristol Street and 170 feet fronting on Walnut Street <br /> be rezoned f~ R-2 to C-2-PK District; that the property located on both sides of Walnu <br /> Street, from a point 170 feet west of Bristol Street to the east line of Pacific Avenue <br /> be reclassified from R-2 to C-1-PK District. Nathan Rubaloff gave an explanation of <br /> his reclassification application. It was moved by Councilman Markel and seconded by <br /> Heinly that the amendment application of Nathan Rubaloff, et al, and the Planning <br /> C~mmfssion initiated ~nt for the reclassification of property located on the <br /> south side of Second Street and the north side of W~l~ut Street, from Artesia to Birch <br /> Streets, be refe~,~d back to the Planning Co~!ssion and Planning Director for recon- <br /> sideration. Thomas Shnen objected to the delsey caused by the referral of ~r. Rubaloff'. <br /> application and stated +.bat the majority of the property owners were in favor of the <br /> reclassification. MotiOn carried. <br /> <br /> On motion o£ Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, a notice was ordered <br /> published setting the date of public hea~ing on December Srd, 1956, on amendment initia~ <br /> by the Planning Co,.,!ssion for the proposed reclassification of property on bo~h sides <br /> of West First Street from Artesia to Birch Streets, frc~ the R-2 and R-3 to the C-1-P~ <br /> and ¢-2-PK Districts, and for modification of existing C-1 and C-2 District by the addi- <br /> tion of. McColl~ <br />granted to permit the construction of five duplexes, instead of triplexes, as requested, <br />on property on the west side of Cedar Street, beginning at a point appro~m~tely 455 fee~ <br />north of St. Andrew Street and continuing north approximately 428 feet, with attached <br />garages,~ aceerding to plot plan, subject to conditions of Dep~Ad-ment of Public Works. <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~lm-~ Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the rec~ndation of <br />the Pl~-uing Commission was approved and the variance of Trued T. and Ethel J.
