The Secretary of ltUD may agree to perform administra- <br />tive services on a reimbursable basis on behalf of a recipient in con- <br />nection with loans or grants for the rehabilitation of properties. <br /> <br />TYPE OF GRANT <br /> <br />FEDERAL/LOCAL SHARE: Federal share would be equal to 100 percent of <br />COSt. <br /> <br />ALLOCATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS: All units of general purpose <br />local government would be eligible for direct entitlements or to seek block <br />grant funding directly from HUD on a discretionary basis. The total national <br />appropriation for community development would be divided as follows: 80 <br />percent for activities to be undertaken in metropolitan (SMSA) areas; 20 per- <br />cent for activities to be undertaken in non-SMSA) areas; <br /> <br />BASIC GRANT ENTITLEMENT: Each metropolitan city, urban <br />county, and eligible "town" would bc eligible for a basic grant <br />entitlement equal to the greater of its formula or bold- <br />harmless allocation. <br /> <br />000108 <br /> <br /> <br />
