<br />Ludlow and Rensselaer Valves and Hydrants, at a total cost of $11,923.60, was

<br />accepted and the other bids rejected.

<br />The ~nnager announced there, wero~ s~× members of the Police Department in the
<br />
<br />audience who had passed the required promotional examinations for Lieutenants
<br />
<br />and Sergeants. The Clerk administered the oath of office to Lieutenants
<br />
<br />Fred Hopper, Dwight Gross and Richard Pemberton and to Sergeants Lee Dam/er,
<br />
<br />Lee Stracner and Charles R~e!. The Chief of Police commended the officers
<br />
<br />for their efficiency and stated they would assume additional responsibilities
<br />
<br />in their new positions.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motio~
<br />
<br />of CounciLman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the following Resolutio~

<br />from Charles C. Brisco, for an easement for road purposes on 19th Street east

<br />~ode regulating public dances in the City of Santa Aha, be set for hearing at
<br />
<br />the next regular meeting to be held January 21, 1957, after study by the
<br />
<br />Council as a committee of the whole.
