Sarinana, for an easement for street purposes on Englis! <br /> Street between Fifth and Eighth Streets, without cash consideration, was con- <br /> sidered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, William Jerome, <br /> Tilghman A. Taylor, Milford W. Dahl <br /> Noes, Councilmen None <br /> Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Taylor and carried, the Record of <br /> Survey Map submitted by Bristol Shopping Center, Inc., owner of property located <br /> at the southeast corner of South Bristol Street and Delhi Road, was approved. <br /> Communication and map were presented from the California Highway Commission <br /> advising that a public hearing will be held if the Council wishes in the matter <br /> of the relocation and improvement as a freeway of a pOrtion of State Highway Route <br /> 182 in Orange County, Road VII-Ora-182-A, SA, Ora, between the Santa Aha Freeway <br /> (Route 174) and the proposed Route 43 Freeway. On motion of Councilman Jerome, <br /> seconded by Taylor and carried, the communication and map were received and filed. <br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br /> Councilman Jerome, seconded by Taylor and carried, the following Resolution <br /> entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 57-5 of the Santa Ana City Council declari~ <br /> public hearing unnecessary on portion of State Highway Route <br /> 182" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Dahl <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen None <br /> <br />Communication was read from The Metropolitan Water District advising of an increas~ <br />in the price 'of water to member ngencies of $2.00 per acre-foot, effective July <br />l, 1957, and the price of Colorado River Water will be $12.00 per acre-foot for <br />unsoftened water and $22.00 per acre-foot for softened water. On motion of <br />Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the communication was received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Markel and carried, the communication <br />from the City of Orange advising of proposed anneXation of property south of <br />Collins Avenue and west of Batavia Street, on the northwest side of the City, was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the communication <br />from the City of Orange advising of proposed annexation of property north of the <br />central part of the City, east of Batavia Street, west of Taft Avenue and south <br />of Fletcher Street, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the communication <br />from the Boundary Cc~mission was received and filed, reference the proposed annex- <br />ation of territory to the City of Huntington Beach "North Annexation". <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the statement from <br />Diehl, Evans and Company, submitting condition of funds of the City for the three <br />months ended September 30, 1~56, was received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
