Dahl None None The Council having unanimously waived the readin~ of the Resolution, on motion of Councilman Reinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution entitled: R solution No. 57-9 consenting to the circulating of petitions for ~n~xation~' of territory designated "South of Smeltzer Annexation", was considered and passed by the following vote: Instructions to Attorney ~ Amendment to Charter Ayes, Councilmen Noes, Councilmen Absent, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, William Jerome, Tilghman A. Taylor, Milford W. Dahl None None On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Taylor and carried, the Attorney was instructed to prepare the necessary Resolution for an amendment to the Charter to increase the salaries of the City CounciLmen from $75.00 per month to $125.00 per month, ordering the proposition to be submitted to the electors of the City at the Petitions to repeal Ordinance relating to parking overnight on the streets General Municipal Election to be held April 9, 1957. On motion of Councilman Markel, seconded by Jerome and carried, the petitions signed by approx~Jaately 1500 persons requesting the repeal of the 0r6inanoe relati~ to the parking of vehicles overnight on the streets in the residential areas$ were APPROVED denied.
