<br /> On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommendation
<br /> of the curb usage committee was approved and the request of Parrs Service, 1302
<br /> South Main Street, for a twenty-minute zone, was denied.
<br />
<br />The Manager orally reported on the petition signed by eighty-one persons requesting
<br />relief from the encroachment of the Cai-Va Dairy on Center Street and stated that
<br />from a legal standpoint there is no way the City could request the removal of the
<br />cattle as it was an existing use at the time the property was annexed to the City;
<br />also, according to t~e existing Ordinance the cattle should be at least 75 feet fro
<br />any residence and the Company will construct a fence, from the present 20 feet back
<br />to 75 feet, from the nearest residence, which should control the situation. On
<br />motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the oral report was
<br />accepted.

<br />It was moved by Couacilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, that the request
<br />of the Excelsior Creamery Company, for three 24-minute zones be reconsidered.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Jerome and carried, the request was
<br />referred to the Council as a committee of the whole for report at the next meeting.
<br />The C~uncil having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution entitle
<br />
<br /> "Resolution No. 57-6 concerning parking limitations and curb
<br /> markings in accordance therewith"
<br />
<br />establishing "No Parking" on the south side of Delhi Road between Bristol Street
<br />and the west City limits, was considered and passed by the following vote:
<br />
<br />Ayes, Councilmen Dale H. Heinly, J. Ogden Markel, Willis~n Jerome,
<br /> Tilghman A. Taylor, Milford W. Dahl
<br />Noes, Councilmen None
<br />Absent, Councilmen None

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />CounciLman Heinly, seconded by Taylor and carried, the following Resolution
<br />entitled:

<br /> markings in accordance therewith"
<br />
<br />establishing a red zone on the south side of Walnut Street between Main Street and
<br />Cypress Avenue, in accordance with request of Peebler's Drive-in L~undry, was con-
<br />sidered and passed by the following vote:

<br />It was moved by Councilman Markel, seconded by Heinly and carried, that Lease No.
<br />DA-O4-376-NG-251, dated January l, 1955, with the Department of the A_~my, National
<br />Guard Bureau, California Air National Guard, be amended to authorize the use of an
<br />additional forty feet of property at the Community Center on West Eighth Street,
<br />to be used as a parking area for heavy equil~ent, in consideration of the lessee
<br />fencing said area with a fence similar to the fence heretofore installed on the
<br />land.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
<br />Councilman Heinly, seconded by Markel and carried, the following Resolution
<br />entitled:
